    Responsibilities

    NISA is seeking a Quality Assurance Team Lead to help build a formal practice for quality assurance for technology platforms at NISA. Working across technology and business domains, the Quality Assurance Team Lead will work with stakeholders to understand how requirements are defined, and will recommend methods for translating requirements into re-usable test plans and scripts. They will define standards and procedures for software testing that can be expanded to broader staff. The Quality Assurance Team Lead will be expected to work with management and development staff to ensure that quality is a driving factor of all stages of the SDLC throughout the organization. 

     

    The Quality Assurance Team Lead will additionally work to implement automated testing platforms to streamline regression testing of systems. The ideal candidate will draw on experience working with automated tools and procedures to assist development teams in ensuring code coverage in both unit and functional testing.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a field requiring strong analytical and quantitative skills such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or Information Systems preferred
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables required
    • Minimum 3-5 years of experience writing and executing re-usable test plans and scripts to validate software features required
    • In-depth understanding of testing concepts (unit, functional, integration, user acceptance, regression, etc) required
    • Experience translating functional and non-functional requirements to executable test cases required
    • Ability to coordinate user acceptance testing among business users required
    • Experience working on agile delivery teams strongly preferred
    • Experience leading and managing teams preferred
    • Experience identifying and addressing risk factors in software releases strongly preferred
    • Experience with automated functional and integration testing platforms such as SmartBear, Selenium, IBM Rational, or other preferred
    • Familiarity with writing and debugging database queries in SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, or similar relational database preferred
    • Familiarity with back, middle, and front office operations of an asset management organization a plus
    • Familiarity with version control using TFS, Git, SVN, or similar product a plus
    • Experience with platforms including Salesforce, Sharepoint, K2, and Mulesoft a plus
