    Responsibilities

    The project manager is responsible for all aspects of assigned projects including leading, planning, monitoring, motivating, and communicating with project teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality while establishing deadlines in delivering technology and business projects. The project manager may be responsible for managing multiple projects in varying stages of the project lifecycle, and will collaborate with sponsors, stakeholders, team members, vendors and other departments to support timely delivery of the projects.

    • Lead technology and business initiatives and ongoing maintenance efforts across multiple departments
    • Establish and maintain open lines of communication between the project team and the business units
    • Drive agile ceremonies and project meetings
    • Facilitate story-writing workshops to elicit business requirements and detail out technical requirements including a clear definition of acceptance criteria and definition of done
    • Clearly understand all requirements, deadlines, risks, and dependencies to assist with the creation of the features and high level timeline
    • Facilitate backlog grooming and prioritization sessions
    • Ensure all work required is captured within the backlog and prioritized prior to sprint planning
    • Lead sprint planning sessions to identify the work that will be completed within the specified time-frame
    • Facilitate daily standups and take the initiative to remove project impediments
    • Assist with creating test plans and ensure all required support plans, change requests and adequate acceptance testing are completed prior to deployments
    • May be asked to create and execute test plans to confirm the quality and functionality meet acceptance criteria
    • Complete EPMO reporting for each project in accordance with the EPMO guidelines
    • Facilitate sprint and final project retrospective meetings to discuss lessons learned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business management, economics, information systems, computer science, or related field required
    • A minimum of two years of experience in IT and business project management including business analysis
    • Financial industry knowledge strongly preferred
    • Knowledge and understanding of agile framework and waterfall methodology required
    • Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
    • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to build strong, positive working relationships with business and technology project teams
    • Experience with CA Agile Central (formerly Rally) or other agile software, SharePoint, and MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel) preferred
    • Agile certifications or PMP a plus
